I am a game developer, designer, and educator who loves creating playful and meaningful experiences. I am the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Kalp, a studio dedicated to building games and tools that celebrate storytelling, craft, and culture. At Kalp, we want to make digital worlds that feel alive and personal, with our debut title Raahi capturing the spirit of community, tuk-tuks, and festivals through a cosy narrative adventure.
My journey into games began during my BA in Game and Interactive Media Design at Whistling Woods International, where I explored projects across VR, narrative design, and interactive storytelling. I worked on titles like Shapeshift VR, Omni VR, The Night Thief, and Folk Tantra, which helped me discover how games can express culture and emotion in unique and powerful ways.
I continued that path during my MA in Game and Interactive Media Design at Norwich University of the Arts, where my research explored how semiotics in abstract games can portray emotions. During this time, I developed projects such as Flutter, a poetic game about love, and The Missing Ingredient, a comedic full-motion video game told through film and interactivity. These works allowed me to combine film, music, design, and programming, shaping the multidisciplinary style I carry into my work today.
Beyond my education, I have gained experience across a wide range of studios and projects. At Super Unlimited Inc., I worked as Lead Gameplay Developer on a mobile endless runner, designing flexible and modular systems. At SyncVR Medical, I created XR applications to support patients, doctors, and students, including a playful app for children undergoing medical procedures. With Moon Boi Studios, I was part of a small team creating a Web3 action RPG that won first place at the Solana Speedrun hackathon. Alongside these roles, my freelance work has spanned animation, graphic design, level design, and full game development for a variety of clients.
In 2024, I began teaching as a Unity Course Instructor at Tech Educators in the UK, where I led multiple bootcamps and guided students in design, coding, project management, and teamwork. Helping students turn their ideas into playable projects and preparing them for careers in the industry has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey.
Today, with Kalp, I continue to bring together everything I have learned to create games that aim to resonate deeply with players. I believe games can be more than entertainment. They can be stories we carry with us, experiences that bring people together, and spaces where culture and imagination thrive.
